New to Enshrouded?

Hello Dazzle! Thanks for coming and hanging out with me today, I’m glad that you are here. If you are new to playing Enshrouded, I have some tips and recommendations for you to help you have the best possible playing experience.

First, don’t rush it. This is a beautiful game with a ton of things to do. There are quests to complete, an interesting world to explore, lore nuggets to find and building to be done. Take the time to really enjoy all the aspects of this game, it really is worth it.

Listen when you’re mining. The sound changes when you are going to get ore versus when you are going to get stone. In most cases, it takes several smacks to get anything when you’re mining. The location of you pick strike on the last swing seems to be what determines the loot. So, if you hear the stone sound then you can adjust your swing to get ore rather then stone.

Don’t stress about how to spend your skill points. The game has made it really easy to reset you points. You do this by spending the runes which you get in abundance. There doesn’t seem to be a limit on the number of times you can reset them either. This means that you can experiment and try things out without stressing about getting the ideal build. Don’t like what you have? Just reset it.

Destroy or break the gear that you aren’t using. It is going to take up a bunch of space that you will need to hoard building and crafting supplies. These items will respawn every time you restart your world so they can always be found again.

Wait until later in the game to do your really big builds. As you progress through the game, you will get access to more types of building blocks and furniture. There is benefit to building a starter base that has a high comfort rating as this will increase how long your rested bonus lasts. But keep in mind that the first base you build will be made with a limited selection of items so you might want to keep that first build focused on getting the comfort score. Then later in the game, when you have all the cool stuff, try building the castle.

Everything outside your base box will respawn when you restart the world. This means that you can blow things up, dig a huge hole, loot everything or do whatever and know that you will have a fresh canvas to play on the next time you log into the game. It means that you are never going to run out of resources so you really don’t have to worry about using too much of something. This is a really great game mechanic that makes building way easier.

Get the magic boxes as soon as you can. They allow you to craft with everything that is inside your boxes. This means that you don’t have to have the materials on your person. If it is in your magic box, you can use it to craft. And it doesn’t matter where you put that box in relation to the crafting source. That box will connect to all the crafting sources within the same base zone.

Get your crafting NPCs as soon as possible. This is required to progress through the game. But it will open up a ton of crafting options that you wouldn’t otherwise have. Some of the crafting is for building and decorating your base. But a lot of it is going to give you access to better gear.

Follow the roads. They will take you to some really interesting places. They are always a good option for finding your way out of the shroud or getting onto a different level in the world. Generally speaking, the roads go to places and those places are worth exploring.

When you are getting into your boxes, pay attention to the buttons that are sitting between your box inventory grids. They are going to give you some really nice organizational options. They allow you to take all or deposit all. They also are going to allow you to add items into a box based on what’s already in it. This can go a long way to making dumping your pockets quickly possible while maintaining organization.

Gear doesn’t have a level requirement. This means that if someone joins your world at a lower level you can give them higher level gear. This will allow them to function in areas significantly higher then their level. This is a nice option for a level mismatch in your characters.

If you fall off an edge that’s high up when you are low on stamina, wait until you are really close to the ground before pulling out your glider. Doesn’t matter how long it has been out. If it is out when you hit the ground, you aren’t going to take damage. But if you get it out right away, your glider will fail once your stamina is out and you will drop like a rock without anything to save you.

When you are in the shroud, there will be large insects that will attack you in swarms. When there are only a few of them, it isn’t too bad. Get a bunch of them and it can become a problem. Make sure you destroy their spawning point to keep yourself from getting overwhelmed by their numbers.

Like about every survival crafting game, it is more fun and easier to play with other people. This isn’t a requirement and you can be successful playing solo. But any collecting that needs to be done to complete a crafting project is going to be all yours. When you have two or three people working on collecting the ingredients to upgrade your flame it will go a lot faster.

Well, that’s about it for my rambling today. Thanks for coming and spending some time with me. If you like my rambling then click on that like button. It really does help! Until we talk again, you take care of yourselves!
